 The Point of Sale application is build for working with barcode scanners.
When scanning a barcode the pos application wil search the products directly. So you don't have to type the product number or search the product manually. You can use the product SKU as a barcode, or install an extension for the specific webshops if you don't want to work with the SKU as you barcode. For Virtuemart is a extension available with adds an extra tab on the product information page in your Virtuemart back-end. Mind when using this extension you change the config so it also synchronizes the barcode for every product. |
